Ten people exposed to smoke damage.

At 12:33, local authorities reported a fire at the newly built hatchery at Ænes, just north of Rosendal, Western Norway.

Heavy smoke has developed and the fire department is on-site.

Police said 10 people have been exposed to smoke and toxic gases, three of them more serious than others. Police are asking for people in the area to keep clear.

The price tag for the facility, which will be adapted for the production of large smolt, is EUR 40 million. The development will make the owners Eide Fjordbruk and Lingalaks self-sufficient with hatchery fish.
