FishGLOBE AS and ICON Systems AS have announced their merger to form Fishglobe Technologies, consolidating their expertise and technologies to enhance service offerings in aquaculture, maritime, and oil and gas industries.

ICON Systems, a key partner to FishGLOBE since 2018, developed SALMATIC, an integrated control system central to FishGLOBE’s closed sea-based aquaculture technology.

The companies, which have worked closely together for years, aim to combine resources to offer improved solutions in system integration, delivery of complete closed aquaculture systems, and operational support, including 24/7 monitoring services.

Fishglobe Technologies, now operating under unified ownership, has secured multiple contracts with domestic and international clients for its FishGLOBE technology and other system solutions across industry segments.

In May 2024, FishGLOBE was awarded two major construction contracts valued at over NOK 500 million ($45 million/€43 million). The new company will begin operating as a single entity under the Fishglobe Technologies brand, with staff to be co-located in new offices in Stavanger from January 2025.

“We will work to ensure that all our customers and partners see a positive impact from this merger by meeting their expectations as a strong industry partner. By combining our competitive advantages, we aim to deliver enhanced solutions beyond what we could achieve as two independent companies,” said Tor Hellestøl, who will serve as CEO of Fishglobe Technologies.
