Foreign markets have become increasingly important for Norwegian suppliers such as Fluctus since Norway’s salmon tax was announced in 2022.

Equipment supplier Fluctus has entered into a commercial agreement with Chilean technology and service company ITG.

This partnership will allow Fluctus to sell its products in Chile, while also introducing ITG’s products to the Norwegian market, according to a press release on Friday.

Harald Lien, CEO of Fluctus, expressed excitement about the venture, noting the high interest in their products, particularly water feeding systems, from Chilean producers.

He praised ITG’s extensive experience of over 20 years in delivering technology and service both nationally and internationally. Lien emphasized ITG’s capability to effectively represent Fluctus products in Chile, providing local expertise and proximity to ensure the best solutions for customers.

Additionally, Lien highlighted the benefits of ITG’s product portfolio, which includes cameras, sensors, and nanobubble oxygenation systems, now available to Norwegian customers through Fluctus.

Claudio Chanceaulme, general manager of ITG Chile, shared his enthusiasm for the agreement, stressing its role in expanding their product offerings and reinforcing ITG as a comprehensive and reliable supplier in the Chilean industry, focusing on sustainable production.

Foreign markets have become increasingly important for Norwegian suppliers such as Fluctus since Norway’s salmon tax was announced in 2022.

In August last year, Fluctus won an order from Chinese trout farmer Qinghai Minze Longyangxia Ecological Aquaculture for four feeding systems and spreaders. And in January, the company announced a deal to supply land-based salmon farming company Proximar in Japan.
