Gordon Ritchie returns to Skretting as global product manager for salmon health.
Skretting has appointed Gordon Ritchie as its new Global Product Manager for Salmon Health, marking his return to Nutreco after more than a decade in senior fish health roles at Mowi.
Ritchie holds a BSc in marine and environmental biology from the University of St Andrews and a PhD in sea lice research from the University of Aberdeen. He previously worked as a fish health researcher at Nutreco before serving as Fish Health Technical Manager until 2007. He later became VP Fish Health at Mowi, where he remained until 2012.
Most recently, he was Group Manager for Fish Health & Welfare, overseeing research activities within Mowi’s Global R&D and Technical department.
Skretting confirmed Ritchie has already begun work on new projects related to salmon health, though details have not been disclosed.
