In a press release on Thursday, senior executive, adviser and investor in aquaculture Yngve Myhre has been appointed as Director of the Board of CageEye, the company known for its behavioural analysis and feeding control systems in aquaculture.

Myhre has over 20 years of experience in both the Norwegian and international aquaculture sector, among which as chief executive officer of SalMar and Aker Seafoods. CageEye CEO Bendik S. Søvegjarto said he was happy to have Myhre on board: “Yngve’s vision and ideas on sustainable and effective production, combined with his knowledge of building an efficient organisation are a great fit with our company and our goals,” he said.

Myhre said he has known CageEye and its technology for quite some time and was excited by the prospect of advising the company on its growth plans in both salmon and other species: “There is a huge potential for technologies like these, providing farmers with information to make fact-based decisions on their feeding and improve their production in a sustainable way,” he explained.

“I am looking forward to further developing the position CageEye has achieved in becoming a foundational technology that fuels global aquaculture growth,” he added.
