Former Skretting boss now Global Maritime director

Global Maritime Steven Rafferty will take up the role as Director of a newly formed Aquaculture Division within Global Maritime.

Rafferty has been an executive in some of the world’s top aquaculture companies, including Marine Harvest, Cermaq and Skretting and has worked in Scotland, Chile, USA, The Netherlands and Norway over a career spanning more than 25 years.

Global Maritime is a marine, offshore and engineering consultancy company that specializes in marine warranty, dynamic positioning and engineering services. The history of the company is mainly in the oil and gas sector, however in 2012, Global Maritime started working on solutions for offshore farming for aquaculture. The company was a principle engineer and designer for the first Ocean Farming offshore farm that received approval from the Norwegian government for the new development licenses in Norway.

Norway and other countries, and to expand aquaculture globally,” Steven Rafferty said in a statement.
