KDLG reports that a seafood worker, who was fully vaccinated against COVID-19, has tested positive for the disease.

The worker is stationed at OBI Seafoods’ Wood River plant. Ocean Beauty Seafoods and Cooke-owned Icicle Seafoods merged all their Alaska facilities into one company called OBI Seafoods last June.

The company reported that the worker tested positive on Monday, the City of Dillingham said in an announcement Wednesday. The worker was asymptomatic when they tested positive, and is now in isolation.
