Grieg Kapital appoints new Chief Operating Officer

Norwegian investment firm Grieg Kapital has appointed Thomas T. Grieg as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Grieg, who has been with the firm since 2017, previously served as an analyst, business developer, and investment director, overseeing the company’s portfolio in aquaculture, ocean technology, and industrial software.

Grieg Kapital, founded in 2018 as part of the Grieg Group, specializes in venture capital investments, particularly in sectors like ocean technology and aquaculture. The firm’s notable investments include Proximar Seafood, which is developing a land-based salmon farm in Japan, and CFEED, a producer of aquaculture feed.

In his new role, Grieg will continue to manage the firm’s investment portfolio and work towards driving impactful growth in the company’s focus areas. Prior to joining Grieg Kapital, he held positions at Grieg Seafood and North Atlantic Drilling, bringing a blend of marine engineering and financial expertise to his new position.

Grieg Kapital is part of the Grieg Group, which also includes Grieg Investor, Grieg Aqua, Grieg Shipbrokers, and other subsidiaries focused on maritime and logistics services.
