Ice Fish Farm closes in on new 7000 tonne license

Advertisement of the license is the last step in the application process for new 7,000 tonne farming license.

On Wednesday, the Environment Agency of Iceland advertised for comment the proposal by, Masoval-owned Ice Fish Farm for a new farming license in the east of the country.

In a statement to the Euronext stock exchange, the company explained that this advertisement of the license is the last step in the application process. Now stakeholders have until 24 November to comment on the license and after that it is expected to be issued.

With this new license, Ice Fish Farm will be licensed for a total of 27,800 tonnes, with a license for a further 10,000 tonnes in Seyðisfjörður expected to be issued in the near future.
