Additional 1,400 tonnes will be harvested in Q4 2021.

On Wednesday, Iceland-based Ice Fish Farm issued a press released announcing the company’s decision to accelerate the harvest of its salmon.

According to the release, the fish have already reached harvest weight and there is currently low mortality.

The decision was made to reduce the risk of substantial loss in the future from winter injuries. This means that an additional 1,400 tons will be harvested in Q4 2021, while outlook for the year 2022 will be reduced by 1,000 tons.
