Innovasea, an aquatic technology solution provider, has announced a renewed global framework agreement with Mowi, the world’s largest salmon farmer.

The agreement cements Innovasea as Mowi’s preferred vendor for environmental monitoring equipment and software across all its sites.

The partnership builds on a history of collaboration and aligns with Mowi’s Smart Farming initiative, Mowi 4.0. Innovasea’s environmental monitoring systems, already deployed at multiple Mowi locations, will now expand to additional sites. The systems provide real-time data on key environmental metrics, such as oxygen levels, salinity, and temperature, through Innovasea’s cloud-based Realfish Pro platform.

“Mowi continues to set the benchmark for data-driven aquaculture practices,” said Tim Stone, VP of Innovasea. “We are excited to help them optimize operations through enhanced environmental insights.”

Mowi’s leadership emphasized the importance of continuous innovation to address operational challenges. “Innovasea makes it easy to analyze and act on data, enabling improved daily operations and fish growth,” said Arnt Mjøen, Group IT Manager of Feed and Farming at Mowi.

The enhanced agreement also includes plans to integrate new sensors and systems, providing Mowi with deeper insights into farm environments. “Real-time monitoring of fish welfare allows us to make swift, informed decisions and improve our operations over time,” added Henrik Trengereid, Mowi’s Group Manager for Seawater Production Technology.
