The Norwegian wellboat company got the ship from Kerko Seatrans.

It is not yet clear where it will be based but the CEO of Intership, Ole Peter Brandal, has expressed interest in running more vessels in Norway and Chile.

He said: “We also see a growth potential in all of the markets we are established in, especially Norway and Chile.”

“Kirsti H” was delivered to Kerko Seatrans in February 2017. It is a 1,800m3 boat and has the capacity to carry out thermal delousing.

The wellboat is Intership’s seventh since it started 5 years ago. It has built its activity mainly from the in-hiring of wellboats, which have been leased out to customers in Norway, Canada and Scotland. It has invested about €125 million.

Mr Brandal added: “The good cooperation that we have developed with our customers will also support that the underlying conditions for growth is at its very best.”
