Intership enters the Chilean market on a long-term wellboat contract with Mowi

Agreement represents beginning of company’s operations in Latin American country.

In a press release, the wellboat company, Intership writes that it has entered into a long-term charter party contract with Mowi Chile for the vessel “Kirsti H” which will be renamed “Inter Fiord”.

The vessel will be acquired by Intership in June 2020.

The 1,800m3 “Inter Fiord” was delivered from the Solund yard, Norway, in February 2017.

Following the “Inter Fiord” acquisition, total fleet capacity will increase to 11,000m3, with vessels operating in Norway, Chile, Scotland, Iceland and both the East and West coasts of Canada.

Ole Peter Brandal Intership CEO said that he was “very pleased to be awarded yet another contract with our largest customer, Mowi” and was looking forward to further expansion in the new territory.

“It is a vote of confidence for us, and the fact that “Inter Fiord” will be placed in Chile shows that our international strategy pays off. We are happy to start the operation in Chile with a quality vessel and a world-leading fish farmer,” he added.
