Joe McElwee has been appointed General Manager of Troutlodge USA, part of the Hendrix-Genetics group.
McElwee assumed the role in November 2024.
Troutlodge USA specializes in aquaculture, particularly the production of rainbow trout eggs, and operates within the broader Hendrix-Genetics portfolio.
McElwee brings over two decades of aquaculture experience to the position, including leadership roles at Hima Seafood, Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems, and Atlantic Sea Smolts. His expertise spans freshwater and marine aquaculture operations, hatchery management, and global sales.
Prior to joining Troutlodge, McElwee served as Global Farms Director for Hima Seafood for six years and has held senior positions in both North America and Europe. His career also includes extensive experience in recirculating aquaculture systems and business development.
Hendrix-Genetics is a global leader in animal genetics, providing solutions for aquaculture, poultry, and swine production.
