Simona Stadpipe secures contract for Arctic Seafarm project.

Simona Stadpipe has signed a contract with Eyvi to deliver and install a complete piping system at Arctic Seafarm’s land-based aquaculture facility in Nesna, according to a statement released by the company.

The installation work is set to begin in January 2025. The facility, situated close to the sea and benefiting from well-established infrastructure, will feature piping systems for water distribution and fish transportation.

“We have already undertaken significant work with Eyvi on detailed planning for the piping system and look forward to commencing installation,” said Nils-Per Sjåstad, Managing Director of Simona Stadpipe, in the statement.

The piping system is described as a critical component for moving fish between tanks at the facility.

Simona Stadpipe and Eyvi previously collaborated on the land-based aquaculture project at Hima on Rjukan.

When the first phase of Arctic Seafarm’s Nesna facility is complete, it will have an annual production capacity of 10,000 tonnes of fish and is expected to create around 40 jobs during its initial phase.
