Maritech expands to Chile

Seafood industry software supplier expands to world’s second largest provider of salmon.

In a press release on Friday, Maritech reports that it has expanded to Chile with an office in Puerto Montt, Chile.

“We believe our solutions fit very well the market requirements in Chile,” said Maritech CEO Janne T. Morstøl.

Maritech System is a supplier of software for the seafood industry and is located both in Norway, North America, Spain, Iceland and now also in Chile.

“Maritech has been a leading provider of software solutions to Norwegian seafood companies for more than 40 years. Our solutions are tailored to handle processes in the seafood industry. Chile is the world’s 2nd largest provider of salmon and we believe our solutions fit very well the market requirements in Chile related to business control, traceability and digitalization”, added Morstøl.

Maritech has hired system architect Francisco Arellano as the company’s first employee in Chile.

“I am very pleased to join Maritech team of experts and technologists with passion for seafood. I strongly believe the Maritech portfolio of software tools will bring value to the Chilean aquaculture industry,” said Arellano.
