Måsøval reports Q2 salmon harvest volume

Norwegian salmon farming company, Måsøval, based in Frøya, reported a harvest volume of 8,469 tonnes for the second quarter of 2024.

The company announced the figures in a brief statement on Monday afternoon.

The full report for the second quarter is scheduled to be published on August 27.

Brokerage house Carnegie noted that the announcement was neutral and in line with expectations.

For 2023, Måsøval’s operating revenues exceeded NOK 2.4 billion ($227.9 million), up from just under NOK 2 billion ($189.9 million) in 2022. Its operational EBIT, though, fell from NOK 693.4 million ($65.8 million) to NOK 471.4 million ($44.8 million), while its profit before tax also fell from NOK 802.7 million ($76.2 million) to NOK 164.2 million ($15.6 million).

The group harvested 24,531 tons of salmon last year, up from 21,879 tons in 2022, and for 2024, its harvest guidance is in the range of 25,700 to 26,700 tons.
