Mowi harvested significantly more than planned in the first three months of the year

Posted operating profit of EUR 109 million.

On the Oslo Stock Exchange, Mowi posted its quarterly trading update and harvest volumes. It stated that the company harvested 8.2 per-cent more salmon than previously guided in the quarter.

The harvest volumes were distributed as follows:

Norway 75,000 tonnes
Scotland 18,500 tonnes
Canada 10,500 tonnes
Chile 19,500 tonnes
Ireland 1,000 tonnes
A total of 125,500 tonnes

In connection with the presentation of the fourth-quarter results 2020, Mowi guided a production volume of 116,000 tonnes for the first quarter of 2021.

Operational EBIT for the Group was an estimated EUR 109 million in the first quarter, which is identical to the same quarter in 2020. Production cost per kilogram was EUR 4.20.

Canada EUR – 0.35
Chile EUR 0.40
Ireland EUR 4.55
Faroe Islands EUR 0.50

Operational EBIT in Consumer Products was EUR 32 million and in Feed EUR -3 million in the first quarter.

Reported net interest-bearing debt was approximately EUR 1.275 million at the end of the quarter.
