Seven people were evacuated at salmon farmer’s vessel in Hualaihué, Chile.
Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire onboard a Mowi-operated feed barge, reports Biobiochile.
Salmon farm workers had initially tried to control the situation with the use of fire extinguishers on Friday, in the salmon farming rich area of Hualaihué, Los Lagos, southern Chile.

Firefighters were then called in to tackle the blaze. Authorities were concerned the feed barge was at risk as 9,000 litres of fuel were on board.
The fire was eventually put out and no one was injured.
