Aquaculture will be a significant part of Rebecca Geenty’s remit alongside poultry and swine production.

In a press release on Monday, MSD Animal Health writes that it has appointed Rebecca Geenty as the new Business Unit Director for Integrated Livestock.

Geenty has worked in the animal health industry for 11 years, mainly focused on the farming industry in various commercial roles, but latterly as the National Sales Manager for Companion animals at MSD Animal Health. She is pleased to return to the farming sector as she explains: “Having spent the last five years at MSD I am excited to step back into the farming sector, moving to my current role earlier this year. The Aqua industry is truly integrated; with vertically organised companies taking care of the production from the egg to the fillet.”

MSD Animal Health wrote that Geenty first few weeks have been spent on the road, meeting customers, visiting farms and spending time with her team, who work collaboratively with farm and management personnel within fish farming companies all over Scotland. An important part of her role will be supporting her team, as they spend quality time with farmers to understand their needs and add value to their business.

The Aquaculture team is led by Business Manager Nikos Steiropoulos.
