Multiexport Foods appoints new board director

Chilean salmon farmer appoints José Miguel Barros.

In a press release, the Chilean salmon farmer Multiexport Foods writes that after a board session meeting on Thursday, José Miguel Barros was appointed as the new independent member of its board of directors with immediate effect.

Barros replaced Rodrigo Pérez Mackenna who announced his departure on April 30th.

The board consists of José Ramón Gutiérrez, as executive chairman, and directors Elke Schwarz, Martín Borda, Alberto del Pedregal, Hernán Goyanes, Carlos Pucci, in addition to the newly appointed José Miguel Barros. He was also appointed as a member of the Directors Committee.

José Miguel Barros had already been director of the firm from 2007 to 2009. He is the international director of the independent financial services company LarrainVial, where he has worked since 1987. Previously he was the head of corporate finance of LarrainVial. He is also a director at the telecommunications company Stel Chile.

In the board session of the subsidiary Salmones Multiexport, Martín José Borda was appointed as principal director, replacing Hernán Goyanes and its deputy director Carlos Pucci.
