Jessica Fuentes Olmos to run Chilean aquaculture authority.
In a statement, lawyer Jessica Fuentes Olmos has taken the top job at the national fisheries and aquaculture service, Sernapesca. Until the time of taking office, the professional served as deputy legal director of the body.
Former boss Gallardo was promoted to the higher role of Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after a reshuffle by the country’s president Sebastián Piñera.
Fuentes has extensive experience in the field of fisheries and aquaculture, serving for five years as head of the Legal Division of the Undersecretariat for Fisheries, and also as legislative adviser.
