Transmarko’s newly acquired 98m M/N vessel will increase the frequency in Southern Chile’s salmon farming industry.
In a press release, the shipping company Transmarko has announced that it has acquired a new cargo vessel, which will expand the transport capacity by 12,000 tonnes per month.
It’s 98m long, with a capacity of 6,400 tonnes of cargo and a top speed of 15 knots. It’s also equipped with a 550 hp bow thruster, which allows it to manoeuvre around salmon farming farms. Furthermore, it has cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 36 tonnes.
Transmarko operates other high tonnage vessels such as the “Constantino Kochifas Cárcamo” and “Doña MimÃ. ”
