New cooperation between Grading Systems and AKVA group Chile

Grading Systems (UK) and AKVA group Chile have signed an agreement for AKVA to market and service the Flexi-Panel system in Chile.

The Flexi-Panel is a passive grader for grading fish in the sea and has become commonly used by salmon farmers worldwide. By grading out the larger fish prior to harvesting, the farmer has more even fish to sell at a better price. Grading also makes it possible for the smaller fish to grow better once the larger fish have been removed. By using this method, the farmer will get a better price per kilo and increase the production volume per cage significantly.

Grading Systems holds the patents for the Flexi-Panel in all salmon farming countries.

Carsten Wangsmo, General Manager of Grading systems (UK) and Andrew Campbell, Regional President of AKVA group Americas and Australasia, believe Flexi-Panel can play an important role in helping improve the farmers’ profitability – as is already being seen by Chilean customers who are using the Flexi-Panel on a regular basis with great results.
