A new company has submitted plans to build a 1,200-MT land-based salmon farm in the Spanish town of Valderrebollo, located in the province of Guadalajara.
Behind the project is Cold Water Madrid SL, based in Palma, the capital city of Mallorca, says Spanish news outlet misPeces.com.
The company is just over one-year old, with its stated purpose being the construction, assembly and operation of aquaculture facilities.
Public comment, which is just one part of the long application process in Spain, has just concluded.
