AquaPath launches to target mid- and entry-level hiring in seafood sector.

A new recruitment company, AquaPath, has been launched to focus on mid-level and entry-level roles in the seafood sector. The firm was founded by two employees from executive search specialist Seafood People and will operate under the same umbrella.

AquaPath is led by Managing Director Jørgen Aase Bjørsvik, based in Bergen, with co-founder Hanna Hufthammer Øvretveit currently based in Australia. The company aims to provide more structured support for hiring at the junior end of the industry, where businesses often lack dedicated recruitment capacity.

Seafood People, founded in 2015, works primarily on senior and executive placements. Its founders say the new firm responds to a growing need for professionalised recruitment at lower levels, particularly for operational and early-career roles.

The company says it plans to use the existing Seafood People network and experience to offer a more efficient and objective hiring process. AquaPath will focus on sourcing candidates for seafood businesses across production, operations, logistics, and related areas.

The launch comes amid ongoing labour shortages in parts of the seafood sector and increasing focus on long-term workforce development.

The company has launched its official website at www.aquapath.no.
