Nordic Aquafarms announces new executive hire

Steven Sachs, who oversaw, the expansion of the Laguardia Airport in New York, to join land-based salmon farmer in Maine.

In a statement, Nordic Aquafarms writes that it has appointed Steven Sachs as our national SVP for construction activities.

Sachs comes from Skanska as project executive overseeing the expansion of the Laguardia Airport in New York in the past years. Before this, he has has a varied executive career in the construction industry among larger construction firms.

Sachs joins Nordic as preparations for first construction in the US are commencing. He will head up further development of its national organisation for construction and our experienced team of engineers. His primary base will be in Portland, Maine until construction activities start for our land-based salmon farms.

He is originally from South Africa, but has resided for a long time in the US with his family.

Nordic Aquafarms is planning a 33,000 tonnes-a-year site in Maine, as well as an Atlantic salmon or steelhead site in California.
