Large US Italian food hall in North America has chosen Salten Aqua Group-owned Nordic Blu Salmon to supply their stores across the country.

Nordic Blu Salmon is to be rolled out across Eataly stores in a major new contract, according to a press release by importers CleanFish.

“We’re honored that the first national partnership for Nordic Blu Salmon is with Eataly, a brand respected around the world for quality and authenticity,” said Cleanfish Managing Director Mike Moniz.

Nordic Blu Salmon will be called out by name at Eataly fresh counters, on their restaurant menus, and is now the only Atlantic salmon the stores will offer.

“For us, it was a long search to find a sustainable Atlantic salmon that also tasted great, so we are excited to now officially have a trusted partner,” said Quality head of meat and seafood at Eataly North America Peter Molinari.

“At Eataly, we look to provide our customers with the most sustainably raised fish that fits strict guidelines and is audited by 3rd party companies. I was excited when I came across Nordic Blu, as it surpassed our standards,” added Molinari.

The fish is produced in Norway by Salten Aqua Group. This year, family salmon farmers Wenberg Fiskeoppdrett and Edelfarm who are part of the group, launched the new brand name Nordic Blu to supply salmon to American plates.
