The fight is not over.

The acceptance period for NTS takeover bid of NOK 240 per share in Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) expires at the close of trading on Thursday.

As of Thursday morning, the offeror has received acceptances for a total of 1,557,858 NRS shares during the offer period. Including 16,133,662 NRS shares that NTS already owns, NTS directly or indirectly thereafter holds a total of 17,691,520 NRS shares, which constitutes 40.6 per cent of the total share capital and voting rights in NRS.

The figures above are not final, as registration and approval of acceptances through VPS has not been fully implemented due to practical considerations, it is stated in a stock exchange announcement.

SalMar has submitted a competing bid of NOK 270, with a later acceptance deadline.

Earlier today, three of the top managers in NRS sold shares in their own company for NOK 101.7 million. These share sales were made at NOK 275 – which is identical to the last trading price just before lunchtime on Thursday.
