Carlos Lobos has had stints at Hendrix Genetics Aquaculture, Aquagen, Ventisqueros and more.

Pharmaq Analytiq writes that it has appointed Carlos Iván Lobos Blumenfeldt as its new business unit director for aquaculture diagnostic operations located in Puerto Montt, Chile.

In July last year, Pharmaq Analytiq acquired Fish Vet Group from Benchmark as a strategic addition to its aquaculture business. Lobos will lead the diagnostic technologies operations in Chile and will report to Pharmaq Analytiq General Manager Nils Arne Grønlie.

“We are very happy to have Carlos on our team heading our diagnostic business for fish in Chile. He brings valuable experience and commercial expertise from the industry and will be an essential addition to the team. This strengthens our goal of being a complete supplier to the global aquaculture industry,” said Grønlie.

Carlos Iván Lobos Blumenfeldt has throughout his career acquired broad knowledge about the salmon and trout industry from delivery of services, to production, projects, sales and promotional activities. He comes from the position as technical and development manager at Hendrix Genetics Aquaculture, being responsible for technical aspects of production as well as research and development for genetic improvement of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout.

Lobos has previously held various positions in Aquagen Chile, Products del Mar Ventisqueros and Aquatic Health Chile.

“I look forward to start in this new position and contribute to further growth for the aqua business through strategic focus on delivering diagnostic services to the aquaculture industry,” said Lobos.
