The fish belonged to Invermar.

A boat carrying around 21 tonnes of Atlantic salmon that had allegedly been stolen was stopped by personnel of the Maritime Police in the city of Quellón, Chile, according to La Opinión de Chiloé.

Manuel Figueroa, Captain of the Port of Quellón, said that the operation was carried out earlier this week at dawn, all in the framework of routine patrols that take place on the coastal edge and which are, at the same time, supported by private citizens who often report situations when they are witnesses of alleged unlawful acts.

An anonymous call to the 137 number alerted the authorities, which led to the arrest.
