PR Foods’ full year operational EBITDA down 33%

Full year books for Estonian owner of John Ross Jr and Coln Valley.

In a financial statement, PR Foods posted its latest full-year results dated 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.

The processor’s main products are salmon and rainbow trout products. Approximately 2/3 of the raw fish used in the Group’s rainbow trout production comes from the Group’s own fish farms in Swedish lakes and Turku Archipelago area in Finland.

Full-year sales were EUR 85.7 million (last year it was EUR 94.9 million). The reasons for decreased sales were mainly lower sales from our Estonian factory to Finland and a decrease in trading of fresh fish in Finland, the company wrote.

2018/2019 full-year EBITDA from operations was EUR 3.9 million, compared to EUR 5.9 million the period before.

PR Foods added that poor results in winter period this financial year weighted down the entire year

The Tallinn company – which bought the high-end smokers John Ross Jr and Coln Valley in 2017 – wrote that its Saaremaa factory is the first BRC-certified fish processor, which will allow for John Ross Jr products to be produced also in Estonia.
