Leading Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) supplier VAQ has announced Frode Eriksen, aged 55, as their new head of business development.
Eriksen transitions to VAQ from his previous position as COO at Pure Salmon Technology, formerly known as Krüger Kaldnes, based in Sandefjord.
Eriksen will join the company’s management team as VAQ experiences a period of significant growth, now boasting over 40 employees.
Originating from Finnsnes in Troms, Eriksen brings a wealth of experience to the role, backed by a civil engineering degree from NTNU and an MBA in strategy and management from the Norwegian School of Economics.
His career includes diverse management roles in project-related businesses, notably in the oil and gas sector, before shifting to the seafood industry in 2015.
Eriksen expressed excitement about joining VAQ, praising the company’s professional strength, Norwegian roots, and values that resonate with his own. He also looks forward to working with familiar faces at VAQ, anticipating a bright future for the industry.
“Being part of a world-leading aquaculture nation like Norway, I’m eager to contribute to tackling sustainability challenges and driving growth,” said Eriksen.
Sondre Høidalen, CEO of VAQ and a former colleague of Eriksen, welcomed him on board, underscoring his valuable industry expertise and experience.
