Monica Bjørkmo Ringen appointed Project Director at Pure Salmon Technology.
Pure Salmon Technology has appointed Monica Bjørkmo Ringen as its new Project Director. With over three decades of experience in aquaculture and process industries, Ringen has held roles across engineering, design, project management, and business development. She has spent more than 20 years at Pure Salmon Technology, Krüger Kaldnes, and related companies, contributing to projects in Norway and internationally.
Ringen emphasised leadership as a means of fostering team development and operational efficiency. “My greatest motivation is to create an environment where team members can grow, develop, and reach their potential,” she said, adding that effective leadership requires clear decision-making, responsibility, and communication.
She highlighted diversity and gender equality as strategic priorities. “Diversity is about more than gender. It’s about including people with different backgrounds and perspectives. By doing so, we don’t just create better solutions but also stronger and more dynamic organisations,” she said. Ringen underscored the need for structural changes to ensure equal opportunities, framing inclusion as both a cultural and economic imperative.
Pure Salmon Technology’s Chief Operating Officer, Luke Kellgren-Parker, welcomed the appointment. “Monica has been an invaluable asset to the projects she leads. She sees the big picture while keeping a close eye on the details, ensuring that clients, suppliers, and the rest of us stay on track,” he said.
As Project Director, Ringen will oversee a department of 19 people, including project managers, site managers, and a commissioning team. She will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of Pure Salmon Technology’s projects, both in Norway and internationally.
Current assignments include the construction of a facility for Grieg Seafood in Adamselv, which integrates advanced technology, sustainability measures, and fish welfare initiatives.
