WellFish Tech founder Brian Quinn moves to Chief Science Officer as Granfelt takes CEO role
WellFish Tech has confirmed that company founder Brian Quinn has transitioned from Chief Executive Officer to Chief Science Officer, as Charlie Granfelt officially assumes the role of CEO this month.
The update was shared by Quinn in a LinkedIn post on Monday, marking the formal start of the leadership handover announced in January.
Granfelt, a Swedish national with prior senior roles at Skretting and DENSIQ, brings extensive commercial and operational experience in aquaculture. He will be based in Glasgow.
Quinn will now focus on advancing the company’s scientific work, including its non-lethal, blood-based fish health diagnostics platform, which supports early disease detection and proactive health management in aquaculture.
WellFish Tech is based in Paisley, Scotland, and provides clinical chemistry and AI-based analysis to deliver rapid fish health assessments for salmon farmers.
