Russian Salmon founder joins Loch Fyne Oysters as Director

Viacheslav Lavrentyev is also a Scottish Salmon Company Board Member.

In a post on Company’s House, Loch Fyne Oysters reports that Viacheslav Lavrentyev is joining its board of directors.

On the SSC site, it says that Lavrentyev has more than “15 years’ experience in finance and investment banking”. He also “has significant knowledge and expertise in the salmon farming industry and played a key role in establishing Russia’s largest salmon aquaculture company, Russian Salmon”.

Loch Fyne Oysters supplies smoked and fresh salmon (and other seafood) to Michelin restaurants, as well as retailers Selfridges and Globus.

Earlier in the year, the Argyll-based seafood firm said that it was under pressure from fresh salmon pricing and rising staff costs, though it will continue “sourcing salmon from a single Scottish source with provenance guaranteed”.
