Gonzalo Silva joins Chilean organisation composed of AquaChile, Cermaq, Mowi and Salmones Aysén.

In a press release, the Chilean Salmon Council writes that Gonzalo Silva is taking on the position of regional director, expanding its presence in the southern part of the country. He starts on March 15th.

The organisation was formed last year with four of the largest salmon companies to bring new insight and visions into the salmon farming industry in Chile.

Based in Puerto Montt, Silva is a journalist and his career has been linked to salmon farming and productive development in Southern Chile. He was the editor for the publication Aqua for 18 years.

The role was created to expand the presence and communication channels to the industry in Los Lagos, Aysén, and Magallanes.

“We will do intense work strengthening the presence in the territory and the connection with the communities,” said Silva.
