Workers in Chile are suing Blumar over the incident.

BioBioChile reports that fishermen are suing the Chilean salmon farmer Blumar over a fish oil spill which happened last year.

The legal action is on behalf of 61 fishing workers who are each claiming damages caused by the spill from Blumar feed plants in Corral, Los Ríos.

On March 1st last year, Rioenline reported that Blumar argued that oil overflowed because of the saturation of a sensor-float.

The lawsuit case continues.

SalmonBusiness has contacted Blumar for more information.
