The new boats will have a capacity of 4,700 m³ each.
Norwegian shipping company Njord Aquashipping has announced the order of two new wellboats for delivery in 2027.
The vessels will be constructed at Norwegian shipyard Aas Mek. Verksted.
Njord Aquashipping is controlled by Norwegian aquaculture tycoon Helge Gåsø through his investment vehicle, Frøy Kapital. Gåsø, who has a long history in farming and service vessels, used the settlement from the sale of salmon farming giants NTS and NRS to SalMar to establish Frøy Kapital and re-enter the wellboat sector.
