Aquaculture supplier ScaleAQ has finalized an agreement to deliver a complete set of equipment to Norwegian salmon farmer Måsøval for their latest site.
The delivery is scheduled for spring 2024, according to a press release from the companies.
The equipment is destined for Måsøval’s newest location, Hårkallbåen, situated outside Smøla, Norway – an area is noted for its challenging weather conditions.
The supply includes a 40 x 20m concrete raft weighing 500 tons, flotation collars with winches, mooring systems, and cameras.
Rune Blomstervik, a special adviser at ScaleAQ, expressed gratitude for Måsøval’s decision to choose their products for this demanding location.
“The interaction between floating collar and grommet is crucial for safe and profitable operation, and has therefore played an important role in this agreement, says special adviser at ScaleAQ,” he said.
Måsøval plans to introduce the first fish to Hårkallbåen, located on the north side of Smøla, in May 2024. The financial details of the contract have not been made public.
