Litigation has now been resolved as salmon farmer settles with Skretting subsidiary over a claim for damages, without an admission of liability, following discussions between the parties.

In a stock exchange announcement on Friday, The Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) announced that it has settled a lawsuit with UK-based Trouw, a subsidiary of Skretting.

The dispute started in 2012 when SSC believed that Trouw had supplied poor feed that affected the health of its fish.

SSC sued Trouw and demanded around GBP 5 million in damages.

The parties have signed a confidentiality agreement and that sum has now been resolved, without an admission of liability, following discussions between the parties.
