Group operations director and head of operations at Young’s Humberstone Road processing site exit company after only a few months.
Duncan McIntyre, who joined Young’s Seafood as group operations director in March and Billy Storer, who joined the company as head of operations in August, have both left the company.
Young’s Seafood has not yet commmented why they left. Both had extensive experience in the food industry.
McIntyre had just under three decades worth of experience in food and consumer-facing businesses and was the supply chain director for Nomad Foods, joining it the year after it had bought Findus’ European operations from Youngs. He also had stints at Boots Healthcare International and GlaxoSmithKline.
Billy Storer had previously led 2 Sisters Food Group’s ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook production at its Derby site, before joing Young’s as its head of operations for its large Humberstone Road facilities in Grimsby. He also worked at YSL, Premier Foods, ABF, United Biscuits, Kraft Foods and Molson Coors. Storer’s LinkedIn profile says he’s “looking for a new adventure.”
