The current CEO of Entec, Håvard Haanes, will join Brimer as CEO of the Brimer business.

Swedish investment firm Accent Equity has announced its agreement to acquire Brimer, a provider of sustainable, corrosion-free solutions, from Entec Group. The transaction is expected to close in the fall of 2024.

Brimer, headquartered in Norway with production facilities in Norway and Latvia, specializes in delivering corrosion-resistant solutions across multiple sectors, including water and wastewater management, land-based and closed-sea aquaculture, and the subsea energy market.

Brimer has operations in Norway and Latvia, and has approximately 170 employees. In 2023, Brimer and its subsidiaries had consolidated sales of NOK 261 million ($23.7 million).

The company has identified growth potential both domestically in Norway and internationally, aligning with Accent Equity’s commitment to expanding its market presence.

The acquisition will see Brimer’s management team co-invest alongside Accent Equity, with Entec’s CEO, Håvard Haanes, joining Brimer as the incoming CEO.

Carl Fürstenbach, Partner at Accent Equity, highlighted Brimer’s market position in a statement: “Brimer has established itself as a leading provider of GRP solutions for clean water and critical infrastructure through its commitment to quality, deep expertise, and a customer-focused approach. We are committed to supporting the company in its market expansion and continuing to deliver high-quality products and services to its customers.”

Accent Equity, based in Stockholm, has been active since 1999, making over 90 platform investments across private companies in the Nordic region.
