But so far “Ronja Storm” has Turkish flag.

Turkish shipyard Cemre Shipyard published the event on the company’s Facebook page and as well as a picture of the titan.

Sølvtrans is the shipping company that has contracted the vessel and will own it. Havyard is responsible shipyard, while the hull has been welded together in Turkey. According to Havyard, “Ronja Storm” is the world’s largest well boat, and has a USD 54 million price tag.

The well boat is 116 metres long and 23 metres wide. The vessel has space for 7,450 cubic metres of water in the fishing tanks – more than twice the amount even in large well boats. In addition, the boat should be able to carry 5000 cubic metres of fresh water.

After delivery, it will enter into a ten-year contract for the salmon farmer Huon Aquaculture in Tasmania, Australia. The vessel is scheduled for delivery this summer.
