World’s leading producer of trout eggs wants to be able to meet demand.
New partnership with South African suppliers will mean increased availability of trout eggs during the summer.
In a statement on the site, Troutlodge wrote: “In the past, ensuring availability of the summer order was a challenge. Due to the natural spawning cycle in North America, there is less availability of eggs from June-August. We listened to customer feedback that a better solution was needed. As a result, we have partnered with two South African suppliers to meet our customer demand, primarily for those in Peru and Colombia. This newest partnership will mean increased availability of good value product during the summer.”
“Throughout this process, customers can count on complete transparency and knowledge of where their supply is coming from. We work with the suppliers, and with customers, to ensure that order placement, egg picking, shipment, and delivery is seamless,” the company added.
Troutlodge produces over 500 million trout eggs a year and ships them to over 60 countries. Hendrix Genetics acquired the company in 2014.
