Sea Eagle rescued by Cermaq Staff
An operations manager at salmon farming giant Cermaq’s site Steigen, Nordland, stepped up when he and his colleagues saved a sea eagle from drowning earlier this week.
The incident occurred when the eagle, having tried to lift a fish too heavy for it, found itself in distress in the water.
The Cermaq team acted swiftly, retrieving the struggling eagle and bringing it ashore to dry off. The company shared details of the rescue on their Facebook page.
“Nice to have a workplace in nature that offers such experiences and opportunities,” the Cermaq worker commented on the rescue in the Facebook post.
