As a fierce winter storm battered the west coast of Norway from Saturday until Sunday, a number of boats had sought shelter in Vågen off of Stavanger. One of them was Multiconsult’s 15 meter long work boat, “Bore Cat”.
“It has been hitting the floating pier,” an official at the Police in Stavanger explained to VG.
Soon the “Bore Cat” began to take in water, and started to list.

At 0400 on Sunday morning, the police stated that it was not possible to save the boat from sinking.
“Bore Cat” was originally delivered from shipyard Grovfjord Mek. Verksted for Multiconsult in April 2013.
