Wellboat ran aground off Norwegian coast

“Reflex” currently in narrow waters.

According to the authorities, there were four people on board the boat when it ran aground off the coast in Norway near Bergen, reported Bergens Tidende.

“The boat didn’t take in water, so there is no need for any rescue action by the crew. We have sent a rescue boat that will possibly help to rescue the boat from the ground,” said Eric Willassen from the country’s Main Rescue Center agency.

The reason for the grounding is not known.

“It’s quite cramped in the area, but it’s a normal ship lane,” he said.

The well boat “Reflex” is from Smøla, the 19th largest island in Norway.
