WildFish hiring for senior Scotland role and salmon campaign lead.

UK conservation group WildFish has announced two new senior vacancies as it expands its work on salmon farming and wild fish protection.

The charity is recruiting a Director (Scotland) to lead its policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement north of the border, as well as a Campaign Manager for its ongoing “Off the Table” initiative — a project aimed at removing farmed salmon from restaurant menus and raising awareness among consumers about environmental impacts.

WildFish, formerly known as Salmon & Trout Conservation, is a vocal opponent of open-net salmon farming and argues that the industry threatens the health of wild fish populations, particularly sea trout and wild Atlantic salmon. The group has been active in lobbying the Scottish Parliament and other regulatory bodies, calling for tighter oversight and a shift toward land-based farming or a complete industry phase-out.

The new Scotland director will represent WildFish’s views on issues including aquaculture, river health, and fisheries policy, while the campaign role focuses on expanding public-facing efforts against farmed salmon consumption.

Applications for both roles are open via the organisation’s website.
