Sushi group continues expansion into multiple retail channels.

YO!, the multi-brand, multi-channel Japanese and Asian food group, writes that it has expanded its trial with David Lloyd Leisure Centres.

Pre-packaged sushi will be sold in the health, sport and leisure group including crispy salmon rolls.

According to David Lloyd Clubs, there are 99 clubs in the UK.

The roll out reinforces YO!’s relationship with the leisure group, and it builds on the Group’s growth across multiple retail channels. This is a continuation of a company-wide UK restructure in response to “changes in consumer behaviour” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

YO! managing director of retail David Hampton said that “this is another important step in the diversification strategy and the expansion of our retail offer as we look to reach more customers by opening up new channels”.

John Walden, former managing director of Argos and then chief executive of its parent company Home Retail Group, joined the sushi group as chairman in February.

Cooke Aquaculture Scotland is YO!’s UK salmon supplier.
